Leadership Building
Recognizing and developing one's own leadership style is critical to this final component of the Journey for Success program. By exposing the mothers to women leaders in the community via networking and partnerships, we ensure that program participants have the confidence to trust their abilities to lead at home, at work, and in the community.
Expectations during this phase:
- Four-month commitment
- Develop one's own definition of leadership
- Participate in discussions with women leaders in the community
- Participate in leadership training experiences
- Develop leadership skills by connecting and networking within the community as individuals and in a group
- Possible internships with local businesses/organizations
- Introduction to and realization of leadership qualities
